The research was carried through at two moments: initially in books and some sites of the Internet for confection of the theoretical referencial, and later for collection of the data for it saw electronics, in the database Scielo Brazil, getting articles (of 2002 the 2010), related to the following thematic areas: normal childbirth + Caesarean childbirth + assistance of nursing to the woman in labor. Of these articles a qualitative and quantitative analysis was made so that they tried to answer the problematic one of the research.
